The Special Collections is one of the oldest repositories in the country collecting on women’s history. Established in 1932 by Dr. Louis Hubbard, the Woman’s Collection, now the Special Collections, has grown its collections to include collections that tell the stories of women’s lives, both quiet and domestic and bold and vivacious. Today, the collection includes Cookbooks and Culinary History, the Woman’s Collection, the University Records Schedule and Retention Recertification, the University Archives, the Children’s Historical Collection, and the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership Archives.
