Synopsis
Set in a remote Caribbean village in 2001, La Suprema bursts with energy and collective spirit. Laureana, a headstrong teenager, learns that her estranged uncle is about to fight in a world boxing championship. Determined to watch the match live, she rallies the entire town—despite the fact that there is no electricity and not a single television.

With the help of Efraín, her uncle’s former trainer, Laureana embarks on a journey to the city against all odds. The film beautifully captures the rhythms of everyday life—conversations by the river, domino games, childhood play—revealing the power of collective effort, joy, and resilience.
