Where is Oakley Writing (WOW) is a program that helps faculty carve out protected time for scholarship, accountability, and community--one writing session at at time. Over the past 5 semesters, WOW has logged more than 32,496 minutes (or 541.6 hours of documented scholarly time) and continues to build a cross-campus community of scholars. Each month, participants join a two-week, self-paced writing journey designed to spark consistency and connection. For every 20 minutes of focused writing, Oakley travels six virtual miles—turning words into flight! Participants have celebrated publications, grant proposals, creative works, and renewed momentum in their writing journeys.
